The EARTHLITE TravelMate Massage Kit is an exceptionally portable massage support system designed for use on a stable table, desk or other suitable work surface. It creates a comfortable supported position for the head, face and upper body, making it an interesting alternative to a traditional portable massage chair when maximum mobility and minimal transport weight are the priority. With a total weight of only approximately 4.1 kg, the TravelMate is easy to take to home visits, workplaces, hotels, events and other mobile appointments. The face support and chest pad can be adjusted to suit different body sizes and seated positions, with EARTHLITE providing adjustment for height, angle and depth. An ultra-portable alternative to a massage chair

A professional portable massage chair provides extensive adjustment options, but naturally requires more storage and transport space. The TravelMate follows a different concept: rather than using a complete chair frame, it makes use of an existing stable chair and table setup. The client sits on a suitable chair and leans forwards into the padded chest and face support. This creates a supported seated position for massage of areas such as the back, shoulders and neck, without needing to set up a massage table or full-size massage chair. For mobile massage therapists, this can be particularly useful when travelling by public transport, moving between several appointments in one day or simply keeping equipment weight to a minimum.

Adjustable height, angle and depth

The TravelMate is designed to be adjusted to suit different clients rather than simply placed on a table and used in one fixed position. EARTHLITE provides adjustment for height, angle and depth. The face support platform can be adjusted in both height and angle, while the position of the padded chest support can also be adapted. This helps the system accommodate both shorter and taller clients more comfortably.

The TravelMate includes a padded chest support that supports the upper body while the client is seated in a forward-leaning position. For the head and face, EARTHLITE uses its Deluxe Adjustable™ Platform with FacePillow. Together, these components allow a more individually adjusted head position and form the complete TravelMate support system. The important difference compared with a simple tabletop face support is that the TravelMate supports not only the head but also the upper body.

EARTHLITE specifies a TravelMate weight of just 9 lb, or approximately 4.1 kg. This makes the complete system considerably lighter than most conventional portable massage chairs. TravelMate or Home Massage Kit?

The two EARTHLITE systems may appear similar at first glance, but they are designed for different primary applications.

• TravelMate: primarily designed for seated massage at a table or desk. In addition to supporting the head and face, it also supports the chest and upper body.
• Home Massage Kit: primarily designed for use with a bed or suitable mattress setup, allowing massage in a face-down lying position.

If your main focus is office massage or mobile seated massage, the TravelMate is the more appropriate choice.

Safe use on a stable table or desk

The TravelMate must be positioned on a stable, level and sufficiently strong table or desk surface. Before each treatment, check that both the table and chair are secure and cannot move during use. The TravelMate should then be adjusted to suit the client's body size and preferred seated position. The TravelMate does not replace a massage table and is not designed for freestanding use without a suitable supporting table or work surface.
