Basalt stone in nail shape | Nail Stone 15 cm

This nail-shaped basalt stone is ideal for the targeted treatment of tension and hardening. Especially in order to be able to work on pressure points or meridian pathways during the hot stone treatment, the use of specific tools is indispensable. The Nail Stone is therefore ideally suited for working on muscle hardening. Its special shape allows you to guide it in a controlled and gentle way, e.g. over the back. What is basalt?

Basalt rock originally occurs deep within a volcano, where it remains for hundreds of millions of years, retaining all its natural properties. When the volcano erupts through the earth's mantle, the basalt rock is formed by the lava as it rapidly cools on the earth's surface. This grey-black and relatively light rock has pores on its surface that become smaller and denser towards the centre and has a fine-grained, crystalline texture. All basalt is rich in iron and magnesium, which after polishing makes this stone very effective for massage treatments as it promotes blood circulation and increases the effectiveness of relaxation and massage treatments.

How are these basalt massage stones made?

The stones are processed from an organic grey stone slab, each of which is cut and shaped to perfection and then extensively worked and polished further in a specific process for several days. The aim is to achieve a high quality polished surface as well as to ensure the special natural properties of the massage stone.
