The Newport is positioned above a basic starter couch. It offers a practical balance between client comfort, folded dimensions and transport weight. The NanoSkin™ PU upholstery is oil-resistant, water-resistant, antibacterial, anti-UV and anti-mould. A reinforced backing supports durability during repeated professional use and regular cleaning.

The Shiatsu cable-release system distinguishes the Newport from many similarly priced folding tables. By releasing the support cables and folding the leg sections inward, the couch can be positioned flat on the floor for suitable floor-based treatment styles. The Newport does not have Reiki panels. When used at normal table height, the conventional wooden end-frame and support cables must be correctly assembled and secured.

Using the Shiatsu release

Use the Shiatsu release only in accordance with the manufacturer’s setup instructions. The support cables must be released before the leg sections are folded inward and the couch is placed flat on a clean, stable and level floor. The Shiatsu release is intended for suitable floor-based treatment styles. It does not mean that the table should be used at an intermediate height without its support cables correctly secured. Before returning to conventional table-height use, fully reopen the leg sections and reconnect the support cables exactly as instructed. Check all connections before the client gets onto the table.
